Google AdSense Approval | 6 Hacks To Get Adsense Approval For Your Site

Getting your Google AdSense account approved is a great relief. It is the first step to make money online. There are over 547200 new websites created every day and Google crawls 80 billion pages on a regular basis. So to be fair it is pretty hard to get your Google Adsense account approved in 2021.

I’ve built my first website back in 2014. Getting your Google Adsense approval for your website was quite easy back then as there were not many competitions. But things have changed as well as the policy of Google Adsense.

Right now it’s much tougher to get your Google Adsense approved in 2021.

Why Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is the best advertising network both for advertisers and publishers. Because of their strict policy and easy to use interface, Adsense became the most favourite platform for advertising. There are companies that are making millions of dollars with Google Adsense.

But it is not a bed of roses for everyone. There are also some websites that are not making any revenue from Google Adsense. Obviously there are some very good reasons for that. If everything goes your way and you do everything right, you can expect to make thousands of dollars if not Millions.

Back in 2014 when I started my first website I had very little idea about Google Adsense. My niche was SEO and I had nearly 20 posts (not so well written) published on my website. I applied for Google Adsense 2 months after the launch of my website. Still, I got approved right away. Although I made very little money with that website because I had no clue how to manage it.

Things have changed drastically. Internet is flooded with bullshit contents and fake news. Many websites are just trying to make money without having valuable content. Some are even copy-pasting articles from wherever they can expecting their Adsense account to get approved.

But it is not easy to fool a Billion Dollar company. Right now there are a lot of factors that Google takes into consideration before approving your AdSense account. But it is very easy if you do everything the right way.

How To Get Google Adsense Approved In 2021

The Adsense approval process has changed a lot over the years. You can’t expect to get your Google Adsense account approved instantly.

Google has already published some very resourceful articles online that list guidelines and rules you need to follow. It is enough if you go through it and follow the company policy. Most websites get rejected for Adsense because they apply without even reading the guidelines.

Google Adsense Approval Process

Google AdSense has changed the approval process for new publishers. They tried to make the process much more easier for publishers. Here is the new account approval process:

  • Ensure your website is compatible with AdSense
  • Sign up for an AdSense account
  • Login to your AdSense account
  • Add the AdSense code
  • Wait for 1-2 weeks for final review & approval

Most websites are rejected for Google Adsense because they don’t meet the quality standards of Google or they don’t comply with the guidelines. If your website is rejected for Google Adsense it just wasn’t seen as a high-quality site that provided value to the internet.

Google AdSense approval goes through a manual filtration that decides if your website brings enough value to an online audience.

Here are some points that you need to keep in mind before applying for AdSense…

1. AdSense Applications Are Manually Reviewed By Google

Most people often make this mistake by thinking that the Adsense is reviewed by Google Bots. But it is not.  Your Adsense account will be viewed by a Google employee who will later decide if your website complies with Google Adsense Policy.

The application process is not an algorithmic review, so there is no way you can fool Google with some wrongful or shady doing. An actual Google employee is going to visit your site, click around, and read your content. Make sure you have some good content that they find useful.

Don’t make this mistake by thinking that only following all the Google guidelines your website will be approved for Google Adsense. Although it is a very important point in getting your Adsense approved but not the only requirement.

So even if you have everything outlined in their requirements list there are chances that your Adsense account might not get approved because of some other factors. To pass the manual review process, your site has to be of high quality.

2. Have Useful Contents

Don’t copy-paste items from other websites and expect to get approved for Adsense. This is one of the main reasons your website might get rejected by AdSense. People often try to get their Adsense approved by spinning articles from other websites.

Copying articles from another website might get your website penalized and you won’t be able to apply for Adsense again. It also might get your website blacklisted by the Google search engine. Once a website is blacklisted it is very difficult to appear on Google search results.

Having some good useful content makes your way much easier to get approved for Google Adsense. Try to keep your content unique and resourceful. It is better to have 5 unique articles rather than 50 spun articles. Try to provide your audience with Insight.

3. Make Sure Your Website Is User Friendly

This is something that Google takes very seriously. Your website needs to be easy to navigate and go through. Try to make it easy for the users so they can find what they want easily. Don’t make it a spammy website with just clickbait titles and very little information.

Make sure your website is responsive and serves well on all devices. Google gives more priority to websites that serve on both mobile and computer devices.

Your website loading time is also a big factor. Google tends to avoid websites that are very slow. Even if you have very good content your user won’t wait 5 seconds to see it. They will just click on the next website. This is why Google prefers websites that have a faster loading time.

4. Choose a Niche

It is important that you keep your content relevant. This is one of the biggest mistakes bloggers make. They try to write about everything. If you’re submitting a site with less than 100 pages, stick to one topic, and provide value for one specific audience.

Make sure you have as many good articles as possible. Choosing a niche is very important in the beginning.

Many websites are rejected because they try to write about anything and everything. make sure to have enough content before you decide to write about another category. Writing about different content without enough posts makes the website clustered. So try to keep your topic narrow unless you have more than 100 posts.

5. Wait At Least a Month

Most website owners try to rush and apply for Adsense without having everything outlined in the requirement list. Just like I’ve said before there are over 547200 websites created every day. Google doesn’t index all of those websites as most of the websites are spammy. Google has its own filtration process known as the sandbox where it decides if your website is legit and has potential growth.

Stick to a consistent publishing schedule. You don’t have to publish every day but make sure you follow a consistent routine when you will publish a post after ‘x’ number of days.

If you have a site on a domain that was registered last week, with 20 posts slapped onto it, all published on the same day chances are you will not get Adsense approval. Make sure to be consistent with your post and try not to rush. Focus more on developing good content.

6. Provide Backlinks To Other Sites

This is a common mistake most publishers make. They don’t link to useful websites and try to win over the internet. This is a very silly SEO mistake. Make sure to link out to high authority domains. This will provide a good impression for your website and Google will index your site faster.

Google value references when it comes to indexing. Not only it will help you with your SEO chances are you might even get a backlink from high-authority websites. Google crawls high-authority sites that generate content frequently with high priority. So if you can get a backlink from high authority websites it will help Google to crawl your website as well.

Mythbuster

There are so many myths related to Adsense that make people confuse. Some people often think that you need to have a minimum amount of traffic to get your AdSense account approved. This is a very wrong idea. People often invest money in Facebook ads to get traffic on their websites so they can get approved easily. Actually having zero traffic or 1000 traffic doesn’t matter.

New websites usually don’t have any traffic in the first place. It takes months to get very little traffic. Google knows this as well. Google AdSense invigilators don’t care about traffic at all as long as you have good content. Because if you have valuable content, you will end up getting more traffic in the longer run.

Some people try to buy links from other websites to improve ranking and get their website approved for Adsense. Google doesn’t tolerate this black hat SEO practice. You might even end up getting blacklisted by Google. The best SEO practice is reaching out to other websites and seeing if you can provide them with valuable content in exchange for a link.

How To Apply For Google AdSense

Applying for Adsense is easy. Getting approved is the tough part. Here is how you can apply for AdSense approval:

  • Register for an AdSense account by going to AdSense.com. Provide all the correct information about your Name, Address, and Website URL.
  • Login to your AdSense account and create AdSense codes.
  • Place the codes in places where you want to show ads.
  • Ads will show as blank until the final approval process doesn’t finish.
  • It usually takes 24-48 hours to get your AdSense account approved
  • In some cases, it might take up to 2 weeks for approval.
  • Make sure you don’t remove the codes from your website during this process.
  • After the final AdSense approval, you will get a confirmation email.
  • Once your AdSense earning reaches $10, AdSense will mail you a PIN to your address.
  • If you didn’t receive the confirmation pin, request a replacement PIN.
  • It might take 2-4 weeks for your pin to arrive
  • Login to your AdSense account, and enter the Pin that you have received
  • Congrats you have completed all the steps.
  • Once your account reaches $100, Google will send you or wire your earning.

How Long Will It Take To Get Adsense Approved

Usually, it would take 48 hours to review your application. But sometimes it might take more time to review your website as it is done manually by Google. Once your application is approved, it would start showing ads on your blog & you will start making money.

What Happen If Your Adsense Get Rejected?

If your AdSense is rejected, you need to revamp your whole website. There must be a very good reason for Google to reject your website. So try to find out why your account was rejected and focus on improving those issues. You can reapply for Adsense after 3 months.

Why My AdSense Account Got Rejected?

This is one of the most common questions publishers ask me. Sometimes they get frustrated with the whole process and try to find an alternative. But trust me if you didn’t get approved it is very unlikely that you will be approved for other advertising platforms. Google is the largest online advertiser and if they don’t find your site fit for showing ads other advertisers will feel the same.

Google AdSense usually reject websites when they find…

  • copied content
  • re-written content (aka content spinning, a form of copying)
  • affiliate content with little added value
  • unoriginal content
  • content from third-party APIs

Bottomline

It is not easy to get your AdSense account approved but also it is very easy if you do it the right way. Be patient and focus more on the content that you will be providing. Remember, Google always gives priority to good content first.
