The actor Tom Hanks said on Wednesday that he and his wife, Rita Wilson, have the coronavirus.
Mr. Hanks and Ms. Wilson, both 63, are in Australia, where he was set to film a movie about the life of Elvis Presley where he is playing Colonel Tom Parker in an as-yet-untitled movie from director Baz Luhrmann.. The Academy Award-winning actor made a statement saying “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches,”
“Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers, too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive.”
He also added that he and Ms. Wilson “will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires.”
He also made an Instagram post with a photograph of a latex glove in a biohazard waste bag writing “We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires,”
Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?”
