Serajul Alam Khan (SAK), who is also widely recognized as the ‘architect’ of the Bangladesh independence movement has passed away. He was a prominent freedom fighter and the visionary behind the establishment of ‘Sadhin Bangla Nucleus,’ a clandestine organization that played a pivotal role in leading the War of Independence in 1971.
Serajul Alam Khan who is revered as “Dadabhai” by his followers was one of the key organizers of the Liberation War. He is also referred to as the “mystery man” of Bangladeshi politics even though he did not play any direct role in Bangladesh’s politics after the independence.
He breathed his last around 2:30pm at the intensive care unit of the hospital, DMCH Director Brig Gen Nazmul Haque told The Daily Star.
