llamas around the world have joined together to distance themselves from the Dalai Lama, following his recent controversy involving the kissing of a child. They have condemned his action and have expressed their concerns regarding his affection toward kids.
According to a spokesperson for the Llamas of Local Zoo (lolz),
“We are deeply disappointed in the actions of the Dalai Lama, and we want to make it clear that we do not condone his behavior. As llamas, we take the issue of consent very seriously, and we believe that every child deserves to be loved, but not in the way that they would be loved by a religious leader or spiritual guru.”
The spokesperson went on to explain that llamas have a long and proud history of advocating for the rights of children and promoting positive interactions between adults and minors. “We are proud to be known as gentle, friendly creatures who are always happy to engage with humans of all ages,” they said. “But we draw the line at any behavior that crosses the boundaries of what is appropriate and respectful.”
The Llama Council has also expressed concern that the Dalai Lama’s actions could harm their public relations and lead to unwarranted suspicion or mistrust from the public. “We don’t want people to think that all llamas are somehow connected to this scandal, or that we share the same views as the Dalai Lama,” the spokesperson said. “We are our own unique species with our own values and beliefs.”
Despite the controversy, llamas are determined to move forward and continue to play a positive role in the animal kingdom. “We remain committed to promoting kindness, respect, and consent in all of our interactions with humans and other animals,” the spokesperson concluded.
