Another explosion. Tragedy struck the Nitaiganj area of Narayanganj earlier today as an explosion occurred at a two-storey building, resulting in the death of one person and injuring nine others.
The deceased has been identified as Awlad, aged 40, while the seven people hurt in the incident suffered injuries due to the walls collapsing, and the other two sustained burn injuries. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
The explosion led to a fire that spread throughout the building, causing a few walls of the shops located on the ground floor to collapse.
The ground floor of the building, which was being used to store daily essentials and paper rolls, has been completely destroyed. Firefighters have been working tirelessly to douse the blaze, with six units deployed to the scene. Law enforcement authorities have also been deployed to manage the situation and ensure public safety.
