Fifteen people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said today.
The death toll now stands at 75, the minister said during a briefing. This is the highest number of deaths due to Covid-19 in a day in the country.
Two hundred and sixty-six people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of infected has reached 1,838. A total number of 2,190 samples were tested in the last 24 hours across the country, the minister added.
As doctors, nurses, and first responders, are battling the coronavirus risking their life, the death toll is increasing day by day. People wait in front of their television for the latest development. Some people are still roaming outside on the street freely amid government restrictions. This will only make things worse and if it continues then it’s all downhill from there.
